CBA Director Hike Heyworth said:
The CBA is delighted to work once again with the Marsh Christian Trust in recognising outstanding groups and individuals working in archaeology. The stewardship theme of this year’s award has a particularly strong resonance, given the increasing environmental and developmental threats faced by our nation’s archaeological heritage. It is very encouraging to see so many communities taking the initiative to actively play a part in championing and conserving the sites that matter so much to them.
All three nominees will be presenting their work as part of the CBA’s Winter General Meeting at the British Academy in London on Monday 7th March. Brian Marsh of the Marsh Christian Trust will present the award to the winning group.
There are still some spaces available to attend the Winter General Meeting, which also features updates about the CBA’s current work in community engagement and a keynote address from Carenza Lewis. To book a place, please visit the CBA shop.
