Participation

All organisations are welcome to register an event for the Festival of British Archaeology. You can put on any event you like – lectures, guided tours, excavations, open days, hands-on activities – it is entirely up to you to decide how you would like to get people involved. You can also choose when to hold your event – whether it is just for half a day or for the entire fortnight!

Why get involved?

The event is coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, but is entirely reliant on the participation and support of groups, societies and organisations around the country. The Festival of British Archaeology presents an excellent opportunity for you to promote your work, engage with your local communities and help everyone to engage with archaeology and the historic environment around them.
