Visitor Feedback
The Council for British Archaeology’s annual celebration of archaeology has proved to be a tremendous success over the years, with hundreds of thousands of people enjoying specially arranged archaeological and heritage related events.
We hope that, for many people, attending an event will be the start of a life-long passion for archaeology. Many thanks for your wonderful support and we hope you will continue to take part in this annual celebration and help to spread the word of archaeology for all!
Here are a selection of comments from visitors and event organisers, on NAW 2008 events:
It’s a great initiative and this is the third time I have participated in some of the events. I have always had great fun while I have learned something; always a good combination. Can’t wait to bring my nephew along next year.
Thank you for a very interesting week; there should be more events like this throughout the year as it is excellent for both children and adults to help us understand our heritage.
When is the Thames Foreshore event taking place? I want to arrange my holiday to the UK from Australia to coincide with the event!
What a great event! A variety of events to choose from and something for everyone. Well done CBA.
I do enjoy it… it’s tiring but great fun! We had over 450 people and lots of great comments from them all, not only for the Trust, but also for NAW and the CBA in general…. so well worthwhile I reckon.
Four of the participants in our event were from a local walking group, established to encourage and support people do a limited amount of walking each week. They had been where we took them before, but they hadn’t realised the amount of archaeology that they were walking past. All participants were more aware of the archaeology of the area after the walk, and intended to return and look again.
If you have any comments and photos of events that you’d like to share, please do get in touch.
